So we had this Calligraphy competition at school today. It was kinda (?) fun. Well, being a Chinese, I of course know the basics of calligraphy, but I'm not good at it. I always score 3/6 in exams. The most being 3.5/6. It sucks, because people can achieve 5 or 6 marks in exams. But of course, they've had specific training and lessons whereas I only have a wobbly hand and an experienced father.
Conclusion from Calligraphy competition:
- Bring ink.
StealingBorrowing from your friend is a despicable thing to do. - Do not wear long sleeves to calligraphy competitions.
- When you get the red paper, try not to tear it.
- When you get the red paper, find someone experienced to help you fold it into nice boxes.
- Don't use 小楷 (small... Oh I don't know how to translate this) brush to write 挥春.
- When writing, don't let people a.k.a. non-Chinese to distract you.
- When writing, don't sit under the fan.
- Heck, you shouldn't even be writing at all. They just chuck all the not-nice ones into a rubbish bag. And by chuck I mean crumple it like it's garbage even though you've spent like, 30 minutes on it.
- So yeah. Either write one that's so damn nice or don't at all.
- And don't touch your face. You'll become pink the whole day just like I was.
Oh well.
Oh yeah, we cam-wh*red with YiWen's camera! It was... Lesser than I expected. I'll post them here as soon as it's up :)
Well, co-curriculum activities are starting up again at our school. I hope I can manage to squeeze myself in those activities this year, seeing as I'm nothing important in anything, as usual.
Okay, wishing you all a Happy Chinese New Year! :)
新年快乐
万事如意
灵蛇飞舞千山秀
神骏奔腾九野新
I'm not gonna bother to translate that. Gonna go back to Alor Star and Changloon for Chinese New Year! Only one week more! I can't wait! Imagining all the angpaus.... ;)
Cousin. She's... Yeah.
Kay, Bye. I just sent the application for my final stage in StarStruck. #FingersCrossed
I need to sleep more to grow taller.
