Well, for your information, I totally sucked and I have no hope whatsoever to get a freaking PASS.
I arrived at the venue 50 minutes early. Which was really really early because we were required to arrive 30 minutes early. It was at Hotel Istana. Dad dropped me off and I walked to the door. I asked a nice lady with a weird accent where the lift was. I went there and pressed the 3rd floor.
I walked out of the lobby and I immediately heard the music. There was guitar, there was violin, and most importantly (to me) there was the piano music.
I walked along the hallway. A few people was sitting on the chairs. They looked pretty scared and stressed. That reminded slightly of me.
I registered at my venue which was 5 and I went to the waiting room. Immediately, I took out my pieces, plugged my earphones to my mobile and started to listen to my pieces which I uploaded.
All was good. the waiting room was considered good. There was a TV which was on. That was good. It was playing some weird comedy which I didn't know the name.
I stopped listening and went to get a drink of water. It was cold and tasted of lemons. Then I sat back and relaxed and started listening to some Rock songs on full volume.
I must've looked weird to those people there. Cuz I don't have my parents with me. And I'm not talking to anyone.
I got bored and I decided to send a letter to J. Here it is:
Dear J,
All is well, the weather is good. As you can see, I am not yet dead from the stress and the anxiety of the other candidates.
There is a weird old woman in this room . She keeps on smiling at people and putting an arm over them and giving them support. She is presumably a teacher of some sort. Either that, she is just a plain pervert.
Apparently I am not nervous at all. There is a TV in this room and it is playing a movie named- 'My Family's Secret' Someone just tried to kill himself.
I am not sure whether I want to go to school or not. Oh well.
Yours truly,
Dark Angel =]
After I sent that message. I checked the time. 11.45am!!! OMG!!! I had like, 5 minutes left? How did time pass so fast. Oh well, I could do nothing now.
I followed the man outside and I sat down on the waiting chairs wondering how would my examiner look like.
After a while, I was called in. She looked ok. Quite pretty in fact. About in her mid thirties. She asked my to sit down and try out the piano. So I did.
Then, she gave me my scales. Which was ok. A little mistakes here and there. But ok. I think I'm gonna pass that.
Then, my most dreaded one, pieces. 1st piece. It was ok. Cuz I wasn't even scared. I was very relaxed. But of course people make mistakes even when they're relaxed.
2nd piece. I don't like this song so it was ok. More mistakes than the first. Of course.
3rd piece. I wanna cry. Dammit. So many mistakes. On my favorite song. Actually, it was the G-key. I'm not sure how. But it sounded different which made my wince every time I played it.
At least that was over. Sight-reading. It was considered OK. But I think I'm gonna fail anyway. Cuz I played only the right hand during the last phrase.
Then Aural. She asked me what texture it was. I said Classical. She then asked me why. I said cuz it sounded very Mozart? She smiled and asked me some other questions. Shit. I think I blew it. =p oh well.
*sigh* that ends my piano days... ><
